1. He was making $175/month as a teen That works out to less than $6 per day. It might seem like a small amount, but it’s important to remember that he was born in 1930, so it was a lot of money when adjusted for inflation. In fact, that figure was higher than his teachers as well as most adults at the time. Buffet earned the money by delivering the Washington Post newspaper. 2. He purchase his first stock at age 11 This was years before Buffet was included in successful entrepreneurs stories yet it was an important event in his life. He purchased 6 shares of Cities Service Preferred. They cost $38 each. How did it turn out? Buffet believed Cities was an undervalued stock. He was sure that he could make a profit. In fact, it began when he was 10 years old and was on a trip to New York City with his father.
